As a native Austinite, Mark Robinson was recruited by Clarence Haynie of Development Associates and brings forth a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and nearly 30 years of commercial Architectural experience, including building code review and TAS accessibility for clients and projects including AISD, TxDOT, TFC, HHSC, Austin State School, Austin State Hospital, Kerrville State Hospital, and the University of Texas. Nearly every project he helped design, manage, and problem-solve (during construction) at J. Robinson & Associates, Architects, Inc. included encompassing accessibility design provisions. Prior projects with J. Robinson also included accessibility investigations for AISD’s Section 504 compliance in the early 1990’s as well as accessible routes designed during the Trinity street development just prior to the Austin Convention Center construction.
His broad exposure in Architecture and prior small business ownership has resulted in a well-rehearsed disciplinarian and a diverse problem-solving individual.

Clarence A. Haynie

Development Associates was established in January of 1997, to provide businesses with regulatory and accessibility support for both new construction and modification of existing commercial buildings.
Clarence has extensive experience in managing, planning and coordinating construction of major development projects, involving industry, private consultants, various governmental agencies, and other entities. His multi-faceted experience has given him strong management, leadership, team building and customer service skills, which he successfully integrates into his project management.
In addition, Clarence possesses many years of experience with the City of Austin which provides him with a detailed working knowledge of the City of Austin’s Land Development Code and model building, fire, plumbing and mechanical trade codes. He also is well-versed in city regulations pertaining to all aspects of project development, planning, permitting and construction. Much of his work in this capacity also involved review and inspection of semiconductor hazardous occupancies and clean room construction. This knowledge is further supported by a number of professional registrations and certifications relating to industry.
This broad base of business experience, which ranges from semiconductor facility management and municipal/state government permitting coordination to owning and managing a general contracting and plumbing company, provides Clarence with the proven skills and abilities necessary to successfully own and manage Development Associates.
